Few things compare to the satisfaction of preparing our homemade bread, with ingredients chosen by us. In this case I prepared my whole grain bread with chestnuts and walnuts in the bread machine, but you can also mix the ingredients manually and bake the bread in the oven.

See below all the details of this whole Brazil nut bread recipe and prepare it very easily with our tips and tricks!

Ingredients for making Brazil nut wholemeal bread:

250 kg of type 1 wheat flour

250 kilograms of whole wheat flour

 1 glass of warm milk

25 grams of fresh biological yeast or 1 envelope of dry biological yeast

 1 teaspoon of salt

 1 tablespoon of brown sugar

3 tablespoons of olive oil or other vegetable oil

 1 glass of warm water

 50 grams of Brazil nuts

 50 grams of nuts

How to make Brazil nut wholemeal bread:

Place the liquid ingredients into the bread machine: warm water, warm milk and oil, in exactly this order.

Tip: If you don't have a bread machine you can prepare this recipe in a bowl.

Add the flour and, in the center, place the fresh, broken yeast with your hands. Also add the sugar and salt, but not on top of the yeast: place a little on the side.

Tip: Do not directly mix the yeast with sugar and salt, otherwise the dough will not rise.

Fit the mold into the bread machine and cover. Choose the most suitable program for the type of bread you want to make - in this case I chose the 'whole bread' program, medium color, weighing 700 grams.

When the first fermentation is finished, sink the chopped chestnuts and walnuts into the dough - if you want you can also reserve some chestnuts and walnuts for decoration. Close the bread machine again to finish cooking.

Tip: If you want you can also put some raisins in the dough, along with the chestnuts and walnuts.

When your homemade 100% wholemeal bread is ready, remove it carefully so it doesn't break. Put it on a grill, to cool, and you're done! Cut slices and serve for breakfast, snack or as an accompaniment to your meal. Bon appetit and let us know in the comments what you think!
